Farewell and God Bless
Pastor Richenda
23-June-2011
Time grows short. This will be my last Sunday at Grays River United Methodist Church, and I am so very grateful to have been a part of the Grays River community for the last two years! We have done so much to further our commitment to God’s work and God’s world, and I am so proud to have played some small part in God’s plan for Grays River Church.
There will be a new pastor at Grays River UMC as of next week. I am so very excited for Pam Brokaw’s appointment at Grays River and how powerfully I feel God at work in our church. My heart and prayers will be with you all.
And, to my beloved congregation, I wanted to leave some reflection here that you could soak up, and perhaps carry with you for the next little while. As I move through my prayer books I realized there is still so much I would say if only I had the time. But, in truth our time is almost passed. So instead, I have adapted Isaiah 43:1. My goal here is to dig into the scripture to try to tease a thread of meaning out from where it has embedded at its center.
