What is a Flash Mob? For those who don't know, a 'Flash Mob' is a group of people who assemble and suddenly make themselves visible within an otherwise anonymous crowd for the purposes of doing something random and/or unexpected. It is harmless and fun, and can be understood as an act of community emerging from within community

This inspiring video constitutes all the best qualities of an inspirational Flash Mob! As shoppers crowded the food court on November 13, a group of people suddenly stood up to perform the exhilarating Hallelujah Chorus.

This wonderful video reminds me of all the fun I had at the North Coast Corale Messiah sing-along in Astoria last year. That is an every-year tradition, and though I cannot go this year (it is today!!) I will be thinking of how inspiring it is to get to be involved in singing or listening to the performance.

For those who can attend, the North Coast Corale performs this afternoon at 4:00pm and the Astoria Christian Church.
